And nobody does weird better than Alejandro Jodorowsky. It’s not easy to decipher the plot of this mindfuck known as SANTA SANGRE, but simply put, it’s about a circus, a mother with no arms, a son with little grasp on reality, and a bleeding elephant. There are also some midgets, assuming you’re into that.
You don’t watch the films of Jodorowsky for their narrative. You watch them because they’re fucking bizarre, completely original, and like an acid trip without dropping $50 on blotter.
And honestly, you don’t really “watch” his flicks. More like experience them.
