Full of gruesome specials effects set pieces, including an infamous exploding head scene. SCANNERS remains one of Cronenberg’s best films, if not one of his most conventional. Michael Ironside’s villainous Revok is absolutely terrifying. His final mind duel with hero Stephen Lack is a highlight.
