SEATTLE IS A HOTBED OF COOL THIS MONTH

DG HQ IS IN PORTLAND, SO WE KIND OF

FUCKING HATE SEATTLE…

They are like a more expensive version of Portland but only half as weird, and Portland knows weird. We’re not Austin weird, but we’re getting there.

This month though they have a couple of cool events for the horror film junkies of the pacific northwest. Most of the local geeks know ZOMBCON opens October 21st-23rd. Tom Savini, Sid Haig, some of the WALKING DEAD cast, Jovanka Vuckovic, Ian McCulloch, Bill Mosely, and a bunch of others will be hitting the golden city. DG will be there, let us know if you’re going to be hitting this.

Check out their site for more details:

Now to the next event….

Paul Allen’s Experience Music Project (EMP) has kind of a film wing located next door and this month they opened a new exhibit called Can’t Look Away: The Lure of Horror Film.

From the EMP website: Visitors will get a chance to view iconic artifacts, including the script from Night of the Living Dead, the alien creature suit fromAlien, the scavenger demon from Constantine, Jack Torrance’s axe from The Shining, the original “Gill Man” mask used in Creature from the Black Lagoon, Bram Stoker’s Dracula manuscript, and other horror film memorabilia

Cool as fuck right? DG will head up there soon and let you know what we think.

SEE YOU ON FORTY DEUCE,

G
