crimewaveJohn Paizs’s underseen cult flick CRIME WAVE screens tonight at the Cinematheque operated by the Winnipeg Film Group in, obviously, Winnipeg.  The screening will include several of his short films – a new book on Paizs’s work from author Dr. Jonathan Ball will also be available.  Paizs and Ball will introduce the film – more info here.

This Saturday, Full Moon’s new Delirium Magazine launches with D-DAY OF THE B-MOVIES at Dark Delicacies in Burbank, California – among those in attendance will be Charles Band, Linnea Quigley, Stuart Gordon, Carel Struyken, Ted Nicolaou, David DeCoteau, Brinke Stevens, Bill Lustig and Michelle Bauer.  Copies of Dave Jay’s new book, “Empire of the ‘B’s: The Mad Movie World of Charles Band” will also be for sale.  Full details here.
