Somewhere south of good and north of shit (that makes total sense) is this Turkish homage/character-hijack called Supermen Dönüyor (THE RETURN OF SUPERMAN). Directed by the Turkish legend (?) Kunt Tulgar (too easy). Terrible fights, worse effects, and atrocious acting combine to make a masterpiece of shit that I could watch on a loop. There is something oddly charming about this film, maybe it’s the sincerity that some of the actors had, or maybe it was just because it isn’t SUPERMAN III. Fuck you Richard Lester.
