THE APPLE (1980)

In 1980, super producer Menahem Golan directed this weird, futuristic (that is, if you consider 1994 the future) flick about a talentless musical group who end up selling their soul to the devil (aka Mr. Boogalow) for fame and fortune. In other words, the story of Eddie Money.

A bit tough to sit through, THE APPLE is still worth the price of admission for all the surreal shit and bizarre musical numbers. The Hell sequence alone is jaw-dropping (see below).

Seven years later, Mr. Golan would direct the classic OVER THE TOP.

COINCIDENCE?!!
