HELLO BASTARDS.
The good folks at Fangoria have an interesting article about the upcoming MANOS sequel – THE SEARCH FOR VALLEY LODGE. It’ll be directed by Rupert Talbot Munch Sr. (I guess “Alan Smithee” is played out), who’ll also be handling the writing, producing, and composing. That’s good, since it condenses my Kill List.
One aspect that’s kinda interesting is the casting of several thespians (and/or offspring) from the original MANOS. Of lesser interest is the casting of a former WWE wrestler and a UFC fighter. When asked about such odd selections, Munch noted that he wanted authentic takedowns and submissions to “make the fights legit.” If there’s one thing Hal Warren got right with the original MANOS, it was the legit fights.
On a positive note, Playboy Playmate Maria Kanellis will also be featured:
On an even sadder note, there appears to be competing factions over who rightfully gets to restore the original film into HD. I’m not going to delve into the Jerry Springer theatrics, but needless to say, fighting over who gets to polish a turd is mind-numbingly ridiculous.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to petition a sequel to MEGAFORCE.
