After a decade of working mainly in television, Canada’s Barron of Blood (aka David Cronenberg) unleashed a terrifying film that was a hint of things to come, 1975’s THEY CAME FROM WITHIN. This is an ode to INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS with a touch of VIDEODROME-esque messaging. Cronenberg has gone in all kinds of different directions but he never really compromised his overall vision (even working on big budgets like THE FLY). This remains one of his best films. Dig this good shit, Bastards.
