HEY BASTARDS.
We are getting our first glimpse of Len Wiseman’s TOTAL RECALL remake via some kind of Taiwanese Comic-Con spot (we think). The shots are brief but it’s enough to make you want to punch Len Wiseman in the face. This looks terrible. No wonder marketing on this film has been nearly silent. At least those of you who buy a ticket will have Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel to stare at.

Terrible right? Anyway, here are some shots of Beckinsale and Biel that I find more entertaining than that crap trailer.

I’m very curious about this one. I always thought that Arnold was mis-cast in the original — though I love him in it. The guy LOOKS like a superhero/secret agent. Give me someone that you wouldn’t believe could be Quaid. But, this one is probably going to be mired in unnecessary SPFX and the lead is still too pretty.
I’ve always wondered what David Cronenberg’s vision for TOTAL RECALL was when he originally was tapped to direct in the late 80s. It seemed – and seems – like something that would be right up his alley. No matter how you slice it, Len Wiseman is definitely several steps down.
