The following clip is from our friends at Criterion Collection who you can visit here. As we reported earlier today, documentary filmmaker Les Blank passed away on Sunday at the age of 77. One of his subjects, director Werner Herzog, comments on Blank in this clip. Herzog was captured by Blank in BURDEN OF DREAMS which documents the making of FITZCARRALDO. the Criterion release of that film also contains the short WERNER HERZOG EATS HIS SHOE.
