DODGE THIS!

The Wachowski’s don’t exactly have a solid track record. THE MATRIX hit just about everyone as a huge achievment in action cinema. A mind-fuck of a story combined with some spectacular set pieces; a fucking jaw dropper of a flick. The second and third blew dogs at the box office (although I kind of dug’em) and lets just forget the abortion that was SPEED RACER. So I am now overly cautious before I jump on board the bandwagon of one of their new flicks.

It sounds like the Wachowski’s are heading back to some of their strong sci-fi action roots with JUPITER ASCENDING. Deadline report that their science-fiction script will likely be their next project following Cloud Atlas, which they are collaborating on with David Mitchell (time-shifting novel that stars Tom Hanks and sounds boring as fuck). I really liked the strong sci-fi leanings of the third MATRIX film, even though it wasn’t executed well. Plot details on JUPITER are locked up like the gold at Fort Knox.
