Molly in CHARLEY VARRICK, Cody in THE OUTFIT, Dan in GOLDEN NEEDLES, Joe Don Baker was in a trifecta of cool that featured characters with single names. VARRICK and THE OUTFIT are masterpieces, flicks filled with intensity and double-crosses, but if you’re looking for a hardcore vigilante that swings a piece of mean hickory, then WALKING TALL is your drink of choice. The original film is tough as nails and one of the last films from Phil Karlson (BEN) before he went down for the dirt nap.
