Hammer duplicates the winning formula it had with ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. (1966) with this classic dino/cave babe epic. Playmate Victoria Vetri melts the eyeballs in her fur bikini, giving Raquel Welch a run for her money, while Jim Danforth’s stop-motion dinosaurs surpass Ray Harryhausen’s creations in terms of realistic, fluid motion. The uncut version features Vetri in the buff during a few scenes….well worth seeking out. Followed by THE CREATURES THE WORLD FORGOT (1971).
