I don’t know how you manage to put John Candy, Eugene Levy, and Joe Flaherty in the same film and have it be as funny as a Benny Hill chase. The mystery deepens when you add the comedic timing of Pat Hingle and Kurtwood Smith.
Candy is John Bourgignon, a drummer/chauffeur/aggressive eater engaged to the daughter of a congressman (who thought Obama was a socialist a full 25 years before he was President). There is more to the story, but it’s just as unfunny as my Obama joke. Director David Steinberg would later redeem himself with SWITCHING GOALS, the soccer film starring the Olson Twins that showed us all just how bad LADYBUGS really was.
LOCKED AND LOADED,
