It really was the beginning of the end for the giant bug sub-genre of films when this Bert I. Gordon turkey came out.  Come on Bert, we get it. The initials of your name spell out B.I.G. But did you really have to make a movie about giant grasshoppers? I imagine Peter Graves looks back and sure as hell wishes you didn’t. Fans of bad cinema may be grateful though. I mean how can you not like a film that has a special effects shot of reallife grasshoppers crawling over the picture of a building?
