A Mario Bava masterpiece that features a detective working a case that involves models with a bad habit of turning up dead. This, along with some other Bava works, kickstarted the giallo genre and comes complete with a killer dressed in black. There are a bevy of beauties in this film and Thomas Reiner pulls up aces as Inspector Silvester, but it’s the camera work of Bava that once again steals the film.
