[DAILY RUNDOWN] TODAY’S COOL SCREENINGS!

THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2017 (All show times are local)

The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY is screening the excessive fun of THE PUNISHER: WAR ZONE from a 35mm print at 9:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Slapstick mystery favorite CLUE is showing at Row House Cinema in Pittsburgh at 2:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Speaking of comedic mystery films, the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles is screening THE THIN MAN and ANOTHER THIN MAN from 35mm prints starting at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Savage Steve Holland’s absurdist teen comedy BETTER OFF DEAD is showing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Denver at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Anthology Film Archives in New York is screening Amy Heckerling’s CLUELESS from a 35mm print at 8:45 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

If Heckerling’s FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH is more your speed, you can catch it screening from a 35mm print at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

I think we can all agree that BLADE II is the best entry in that particular oddball franchise. You can catch it at the Alamo Drafthouse in Ashburn, VA at 7:20 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

If you know of an under-the-radar theater or film society regularly putting together repertory screenings or special events, feel free to let me know on Twitter!
