THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. The Metrograph in New York is showing two genre favorites of the ’90s. At 1:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 10:00 pm, you can see THE CROW. At 3:15 pm, you can see THE CRAFT. Both films are screening from 35mm prints. Tickets and info can be found here.
Forget the debate about whether or not it’s a Christmas movie, just focus on the fact that DIE HARD is one of the best action flicks of the late 20th century and go see it at the Denver Film Society at 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
If you still haven’t had a chance to see a screening of that uncut Italian language 35mm print of SUSPIRIA, the Northwest Film Center in Portland, OR has you covered. They are showing it at 9:15 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY is screening Shane Black’s terrific KISS KISS BANG BANG from a 35mm print at 9:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
Is there anyone cooler than Alain Delon in LE SAMOURAÏ? The Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis is screening this from a rare 35mm print at 7:00 pm and 9:15 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn is showing Bob Clark’s slasher classic BLACK CHRISTMAS at midnight. Tickets and info can be found here.
Bill Murray stars in SCROOGED, playing at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR at 9:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
