THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2017 (All show times are local)
The Metrograph in New York is showing two genre favorites of the ’90s. At 1:00 pm, 5:30 pm, and 10:00 pm, you can see THE CROW. At 3:15 pm, you can see THE CRAFT. Both films are screening from 35mm prints. Tickets and info can be found here.
Forget the debate about whether or not it’s a Christmas movie, just focus on the fact that DIE HARD is one of the best action flicks of the late 20th century and go see it at the Denver Film Society at 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
If you still haven’t had a chance to see a screening of that uncut Italian language 35mm print of SUSPIRIA, the Northwest Film Center in Portland, OR has you covered. They are showing it at 9:15 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
The Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY is screening Shane Black’s terrific KISS KISS BANG BANG from a 35mm print at 9:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
