THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

The New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles is doing a triple feature of Robert Culp films. At 7:30 pm, Culp co-stars with Telly Savalas and James Mason in the action/heist film INSIDE OUT. At 9:30 pm, it’s the tale of a team of professional hang gliders on a rescue mission in SKY RIDERS. At 11:30 pm, Culp represents the police force and Bo Svenson is the vigilante in Bob Clark’s superior DEATH WISH knockoff BREAKING POINT. INSIDE OUT and BREAKING POINT are 35mm screenings, while SKY RIDERS is a 16mm screening. Tickets and info can be found here.
William Lustig’s very good cops and serial killer thriller RELENTLESS is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY at 9:30 pm. This is a 35mm screening and Lustig will be doing a Q&A. Tickets and info can be found here.
The Alamo Drafthouse in San Francisco is screening a 35mm print of Argento’s DEEP RED at 10:00 pm. This appears to be the shorter American cut that went by the title THE HATCHET MURDERS. Tickets and info can be found here.
Quad Cinema in New York is showing the tense, methodical thriller THE DAY OF THE JACKAL at 7:00 pm. This is a 35mm screening. Tickets and info can be found here.
