THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

TUESDAY, JULY 11, 2017 (All show times are local)

The Metrograph in New York is screening Terry Gilliam’s loopy comedic fantasy TIME BANDITS from a 35mm print at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

Prepare for the shunt! Brian Yuzna’s cult classic SOCIETY is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse in San Francisco at 10:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

The New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles is presenting a double feature of sci-fi sexploitation spoofs. First up at 7:30 pm is THE GIRL FROM STARSHIP VENUS. After that at 9:30 pm is the cult classic spoof FLESH GORDON. Both films are 35mm screenings. Tickets and info can be found here.

Neil Marshall’s entertaining and splattery werewolf favorite DOG SOLDIERS is showing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas at 10:35 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

The Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR is screening badass 1977 kung fu flick SHAOLIN INVINCIBLES from a 35mm print at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

REAR WINDOW is probably Hitchcock’s most purely entertaining film. You can catch it at the Amherst Cinema in Amherst, MA at 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

You know you want to see THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE on the big screen. The Alamo Drafthouse in Winchester, VA is giving you that chance at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
