Comic book James Bond adventure finds 007 in Sin City, butting heads with arch-nemesis Blofeld and a whole slew of colorful villains in the film that set the tone for the goofy Roger Moore flicks that followed throughout the 70s and early 80s. Yes, Bond has a paunch, half of the villainous cast are straight out of a burlesque show and the action borderlines on Marx Brothers slapstick, but fuck it, this is a Connery Bond and I’ll be damned if I throw too many harsh words on this guilty pile of Bondian trash. Highlights include a wonderfully claustrophobic fight in an elevator and a slick car chase through Vegas.
