We just showed you the trailer for Martin Scorsese’s THE WOLF OF WALL STREET which featured a monkey in a suit. I guess it’s homage to PLANET OF THE APES day and nobody told me because we have some more monkey love courtesy of Donnie Yen. The trailer for THE MONKEY KING 3D has dropped, and it looks like 100% shit. I don’t know if that’s Yen in monkey make-up or Michael J. Fox from TEEN WOLF. Yen is getting older and as a result he is leaning heavily on CGI to deliver his trademark speed (see DRAGON as proof of that), but trust me Donnie, a CGI monkey film isn’t the fountain of youth you think it is. This is the first film in a trilogy, so get ready for monkey lovin’. What do you Bastards think?
