APPLECART—produced by PHANTASM creator Don Coscarelli—is a late-night cable blend of true crime reality television and power mad witches. Featuring A.J. Bowen, Barbara Crampton, Brea Grant, and Sophie Dalah, the flick is entertaining, including a particuarly funny turn from Barbara Crampton.
Assitant editor Mike Vanderbilt caught up with the cast down at this year’s Fantastic Fest, as well as director Bradford Baruh, to chat about the making of the film.
A writer, filmmaker, musician, and amateur bon vivant, Mike Vanderbilt spends his days and nights on either end of the bar. When not hard at work slinging margaritas, he tries to squeeze in as much adventure, excitement and romance as he can. He also has a certain moral flexibility.
