The good news is that LADY SNOWBLOOD is coming Blu-ray. The bad news is that it’s Region 2. Arrow Films is releasing the classic LADY SNOWBLOOD on Blu-ray on 9/24 in the U.K. as a Limited Edition Blu-ray SteelBook and a 3-Disc Blu-ray & DVD Dual Format Set. AnimEigo previously owned the rights here in the U.S. but they reverted back to the Japan Licensor (confirmed by AnimEigo). Hopefully this set sells enough units that somebody picks up the stateside license and gets this out there or you could buy a region-free Blu-ray player and call it good.
In other news, AnimEigo told us when we called to inquire about the license that their release schedule for the remainder of the year in addition to the LONE WOLF AND CUB Blu-ray set will be 11 SAMURAI and the third SLEEPY EYES OF DEATH collection. Arrow Films – Quickly please get going and push to release the
Lone Wolf and Cub series on blu ray region B. Arrow can do a great justice re-mastering the series, that will bring so many new fans and interests alike to the genre which is already gained huge popularity and is regarded a cult classic gem of a series.
This is a guaranteed sure fire blu ray hit on a region B release, if it gets the go ahead. I have read so many e-mails and articles for a proper European release. There is a huge demand and huge crowd awaiting release. People from different generations have grown up on the Lone Wolf and Cub series. Great News! So please consider even greater !!!
