MUSIC VIDEO RECREATES THE LOOK AND FEEL OF SHOT-ON-VIDEO HORROR

HEY BASTARDS.

Daily Grindhouse contributor Josh Johnson is knee deep in one of the coolest documentaries in production (along with Carolee Mitchell and Christopher Palmer). REWIND THIS! chronicles the cultural and historical impact of VHS, from box art to avid collector and everything in between. Along the way, Josh and his crew have come across some cool opportunities to pay tribute to the format that means so much to them. Josh dropped us a line and thought you Bastards could appreciate a little side project he worked on.

“Our production company (IPF Productions) had an opportunity to create a side-project under the radar recently and we’re pleased to unveil it for the world to see. The aforementioned work is a music video for Beaujolais, the alter-ego of Bleeding Skull creator Joseph A. Ziemba. Designed to recreate the look and feel of the shot-on-video horror movies that Ziemba reports on in his other life, the video was shot for next to nothing on a vintage VHS camcorder. It offers a glimpse of a zero-budget slasher movie that never existed.”

Dig it, Bastards!
