I wasn’t a huge fan of the first THOR film but damn, this follow-up looks like it really took up an epic approach. Directed by Alan Taylor (GAME OF THRONES) this doubles down on the brooding superhero approach we are now familiar with (you know, 21st century superhero shit), but THOR always needed a larger environment to establish itself and now it looks like we have it. IRON MAN 3 is two weeks away, THOR: THE DARK WORLD hits in November, and if those films have the pay-off I am looking, it’s going to be a long wait for CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER in 2014.
