NEW U.S. TRAILER FOR KAR-WAI’S THE GRANDMASTER (2012)

I have a name for my cinema blind-spot and it’s called Wong Kar-Wai. I just never took the time to dive into his films. Though I have seen CHUNGKING EXPRESS, I haven’t seen FALLEN ANGELS, HAPPY TOGETHER, QUIGLEY DOWN UNDER or other films he may or may not have directed. Which brings us to his latest film, THE GRANDMASTER, based on the life story of the Wing Chun grandmaster Yip Man (or Ip Man). The film stars Tony Leung, and features choreography by Yuen Woo-Ping, and we are getting our first US trailer for the film which is a heavy handed ad that dresses up the film into something it’s not based on reviews I’ve read. Have a look, then check out the International trailer below for a more accurate representation of what you’re likely in store for.
