Hey Bastards.

How long has it been since Ron Howard made a film that was worth watching? I think RANSOM was the last thing that I dug. I know A BEAUTIFUL MIND jerked a lot of people off but it didn’t work for me. I didn’t hate it, at the very least I got to stare at Jennifer Connelly for a little bit, but I didn’t dig it. THE CINDERELLA MAN was okay I guess. Anyway, he needs another big and ambitious project, an APOLLO 13, a WILLOW (kidding…kind of) type project. “The Dark Tower” may be that kind of story for Howard. Currently in Development Hell, Howard talked to Collider and gave that crew an update on the project:

“We are continuing to work on the script to find ways to make the budget more manageable and still deliver the work in a way that the project deserves. We were always racing and fast-tracking the project, so I always wince when I see something written about it and there’s a release date in there. These kinds of projects often take years to come together in the right ways. But I am in love with the material, and the minute it can come together in the right way, I am fully committed to it.“
