Typical WIP flick from Roger Corman’s New World Pictures is memorable for featuring Pam Grier as the nasty warden this time around. Though director Gerardo de Leon doesn’t seem to have the same handle as Jack Hill would over the material, WOMEN IN CAGES is still full of all the staples that makes these flicks pure trash. This one is particularly heavy on the sadism. But where is Sid Haig when you need him?
