A short behind-the-scenes teaser for Rian Johnson’s STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI premiered at Disney’s D23 expo only hours ago. While the new collection of interviews and making of footage is certainly not as exciting as the one that premiered at Comic Con for the previous THE FORCE AWAKENS, it is much more exciting that the teaser trailer that went live a few months back.

The most notable aspect of the new reel is all the new aliens species that will be populating the James Bond-esque casino that will be featured in the new film. There are also glimpses of our old favorites new looks including Rey’s Jedi robes and a wonderfully earth-toned flight suit for John Boyega’s Finn. It’s going to be interesting to see just how different this film is from the previous entries in the STAR WARS saga. The cast and crew are selling hard on Johnson’s take being refreshing. The collection of interviews and footage also wraps up with a delightfully funny nod to the original trilogy.
