Most Stephen King films are about as enjoyable as bamboo under the fingernails while having your balls smacked with a bread board. In 1983 however, Dino De Laurentiis produced three of the best: CUJO, CHRISTINE, and THE DEAD ZONE. Christopher Walken is always good, but he is creepy as fuck here; dark and slightly twisted. Though it’s rarely in the conversation of David Cronenberg’s best work… it is.
