Steve McQueen is tough as nails as Doc McCoy in Peckinpah’s classic adaptation of Jim Thompson’s pulp masterpiece “The Getaway.” Though the novel gives the character a little more depth, and really expands on the Rudy character, this is a pretty faithful adaptation. This film is 12 kinds of cool with a finale that doesn’t stop until the guns go click.
See you on forty deuce,
G
