Third entry in Universal’s Kharis series benefits from strong horror cast, including heavy hitters John Carradine and George Zucco, and unexpected finale. Lon Chaney Jr., in his second appearance as the bandaged one, gets to emote a bit in this one, throwing a violent temper tantrum in a museum. Gorgeous pin-up Ramsay Ames is a highlight. Her fate as the doomed Princess Anaka is highly irregular for a film of this type. Followed by THE MUMMY’S CURSE.
