Reading that last sentence cold, you’d think THIS STUFF’LL KILL YA sounds like a good time. Well, you’d be mistaken.
Outside of a hilarious stoning and an unexpected crucifixion, Lewis’ swamp romp is a pointless exercise of inane ramblings from a bloated preacher, listless hoedowns, and southern-fried tedium.
There’s a lot to be appreciated in HGL’s filmography, and a select few that only the most ardent completist should endeavor. THIS STUFF’LL KILL YA falls firmly into the latter.
