The Massacre, Chicago’s premiere 24 hour horror movie marathon is being held this weekend, starting at noon on Saturday, October 14 and running until noon on Sunday, October 15 at the Patio Theater (6008 W. Irving Park Road, Chicago, IL 60634).

This year’s line up of films is heavy in tributes to actors and filmmakers lost over the last year. CREEPSHOW is being shown in honor of George A. Romero, ALIENS is being screened to honor Bill Paxton, TWO THOUSAND MANIACS! is the Herschell Gordon Lewis tribute, and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE PART 2 is being shown to honor Tobe Hooper.

Other scheduled films include infamous slasher flick SLEEPAWAY CAMP with star Felissa Rose on hand to do a Q&A and LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH with director John D. Hancock in person for a Q&A.

Presale tickets can be purchased online here for $20. Tickets will be $25 at the door on the day of the event. Full event info, including the complete film line up, vendors, and sponsors can be found at the event’s Facebook page.
