THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

Comfort Station in Chicago continues it’s 100th birthday celebration of El Santo with a screening of SANTO Y BLUE DEMON VS. DRÁCULA Y EL HOMBRE LOCO at 8:00 pm. This is a free screening. All info can be found here.

 

 

Catch a 35mm screening of Bruce Lee’s final completed feature ENTER THE DRAGON at the Alamo Drafthouse in Springfield, MO at 8:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The Joy Cinema and Pub in Tigard, OR is offering up a big slice of cheese in FRANKENSTEIN’S DAUGHTER at 9:15 pm. Admission is free but you must be over 21 to attend. All info can be found here.

 

 

A tribute screening of Tobe Hooper’s lunatic sequel THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 2 is being presented by the Chicago Film Society on the campus of Northeastern Illinois University. This is a 35mm screening. Tickets are $5 at the door. All info can be found here.

 

 

Stanley Kubrick’s lean, mean heist film classic THE KILLING is screening at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The Senator Theatre in Baltimore is showing the classic Hitchcock REAR WINDOW at 8:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

Schlocky action/sci-fi favorite FUTURE WAR is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Denver at 9:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
