[MOVIE MUSIC] John Carpenter Is Back In The Driver’s Seat With A New Music Video For CHRISTINE

While getting three John Carpenter records in as as little as three years is pretty cool in its own right, it also means that the Master Of Horror is back in the director’s chair, albeit in smaller doses. Carpenter just premiered his new music video for his re-recorded theme to CHRISTINE from Carpenter’s upcoming album, ANTHOLOGY (MOVIE THEMES 1974-1998),  for which he and his band re-recorded the director and composer’s classic themes.

The video leans into the neon noir aesthetics of Carpenter’s previous videos for “Night” off of LOST THEMES and “Utopian Facade” from LOST THEMES II: moody shots of Stephen King’s killer Plymouth Fury cruising through the rain drenched streets of Los Angeles at after dark. The re-recorded version of the theme—which features son Cody Carpenter on keys—also features some smokin’ guitar work from rock ‘n’ roll prince Daniel Davies. Carpenter and his band will be embarking on a national tour beginning October 29 at the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas with a Halloween show set for the Hollywood Palladium in L.A..

ANTHOLOGY (MOVIE THEMES 1974-1998) hits shelves October 20th. The album is available to pre-order now.
