Bizarre, cult rock n’ roll slasher flick ROCKTOBER BLOOD is being shown at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
David Cronenberg’s grisly, genuinely uncomfortable version of a divorce drama THE BROOD is screening at the Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
Who knew Rob Reiner had it in him? His superior adaptation of Stephen King’s MISERY is screening from a 35mm print at the Metrograph in New York at 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
The double feature of 1958 noir oddity MURDER BY CONTRACT and Sam Fuller’s terrific melodrama THE CRIMSON KIMONO is happening at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco. Both films are being screened from 35mm prints with MURDER BY CONTRACT showing at 6:00 pm and 9:25 pm and THE CRIMSON KIMONO showing at 7:45 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
It honestly is not that good of a movie, but you really should not turn down the chance to catch a Charles Band production screen from a 35mm print in 3-D. METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED-SYN is screening at Quad Cinema in New York at 8:55 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
The Hollywood Palms Cinema in Naperville, IL is showing John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN for free at 7:15 pm and 8:40 pm. All info can be found here.
