It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

The Charles Theatre in Baltimore is showing Mario Bava’s Gothic beauty KILL, BABY…KILL! at 9:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

You can catch John Carpenter’s masterpiece HALLOWEEN at 11:30 pm at the Davis Theater in Chicago at 11:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

Lucio Fulci’s ZOMBIE (a.k.a. ZOMBI 2) is playing at Film Bar in Phoenix at 10:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The Castro Theatre in San Francisco is showing a Bill Paxton double feature. At 7:00 pm is ALIENS and at 9:30 pm is NEAR DARK (screening from a 35mm print). Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

 

HAUSU, the best surreal haunted house movie ever made, is screening from a 35mm print at the Trylon Cinema in Minneapolis at 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The Denver Film Society is showing HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH at 9:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The 1931 version of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE is playing at the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles at 7:30 pm with the blaxploitation twist on the classic tale DR. BLACK, MR. HYDE following at 9:40 pm. Both films are screening from 35mm prints. Tickets and info can be found here.
