THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. It is not intended to be an exhaustive, comprehensive list, but a sampling of the terrific genre cinema available to check out at your local art house, megaplex, film society, and repertory theaters.

Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn is screening Mario Bava’s BLACK SABBATH at 7:35 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

THE WITCHES is being shown at the Hollywood Palms Cinema in Naperville, IL at 7:00 pm. This is a free screening. All info can be found here.

 

 

The Castro Theatre in San Francisco is doing a double feature of Don Siegel’s adaptation of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (screening from a 35mm print) at 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm and the original THE MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE at 7:15 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

 

Michael Winner’s “Satanic panic” horror flick THE SENTINEL is being screened from a 35mm print at 10:00 pm for its 40th anniversary at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY. This screening is being hosted by Joe Bob Briggs! Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

A double feature of Stephen King adaptations is happening at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA starting at 7:00 pm. Both CARRIE and CHRISTINE are being screened from 35mm prints. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

 

You owe it to yourself to see YOUR VICE IS A LOCKED ROOM AND ONLY I HAVE THE KEY on the big screen. The Alamo Drafthouse in Denver is giving you that chance at 9:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The truly unsettling ROSEMARY’S BABY is screening at the Charles Theatre in Baltimore at 7:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.
