THE DAILY RUNDOWN is a quick look at just a few of the cool screenings and film events happening around the U.S. every day. The Alamo Drafthouse in Brooklyn is doing a 35mm screening of blaxploitation classic TRUCK TURNER at 9:30 pm. Hell of a cast in this one that includes Isaac Hayes, Yaphet Kotto, Dick Miller, and Nichelle Nichols. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

Doc Films on the University of Chicago campus is showing Monte Hellman’s minimalist western THE SHOOTING starring Jack Nicholson and Warren Oates at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 at the door. Info can be found here.

 

 

Classic French heist thriller RIFIFI is playing at the Alamo Drafthouse in Denver at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

ROPE is playing at the Trylon Microcinema in Minneapolis, MN at 7:00 pm as part of their ninth annual Alfred Hitchcock Film Festival. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

Sofia Coppola’s divisive, sumptuous MARIE ANTOINETTE is showing at the Hollywood Theatre in Portland, OR at 7:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

If you’re in Los Angeles and in need of a waking nightmare, Cinefamily is screening a 35mm print of ERASERHEAD at 10:30 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX is screening a 35mm print of MAGNUM FORCE. You can catch Clint Eastwood’s second turn as Dirty Harry at 10:00 pm. Tickets and info can be found here.

 

 

Paul Verhoeven’s early erotic thriller THE FOURTH MAN is showing at Quad Cinema in New York at 4:15 pm. This is a 35mm screening. Tickets and info can be found here.
