[FROM THE VAULT] GODZILLA VS. MEGALON (1973) THE FLYING KICK

“Come at me, bro!”

Kaiju Heimlich Maneuver.

“CIA got you pushing too many pencils?”

Throughout Godzilla’s rich history of both badass and goofy antics, the Big G has used his atomic breath to propel himself through the air, played rock volleyball with multiple opponents, danced a jig and even spoke Japanese at one point. But nothing compares with the gloriously impossible, infamous flying kick delivered to giant beetle Megalon during the climatic battle of GODZILLA VS. MEGALON. In fact, the move was so good the filmmakers had Godzilla perform it twice! So for your viewing pleasure here is what goes down in my book at the greatest moment in Kaiju history. Just don’t try this at home.

Timeless! That clip NEVER gets old. I loved it 39 years ago as much as I do today. Thanks for posting it!
