Redemption Films is having a brilliant year. After a Blu-ray blitz of some of Jean Rollin’s best films, they are back with a cool as hell horror/scifi hybrid that casts an amazing spell on the viewer thanks to a brilliant script by Brian Comport and and clever direction by Peter Newbrook (his only film as a director). There are some bumps and the film is far from perfect (puppets and double exposure tend not to work out well), but damn I could watch this on a loop.
