[DRESSED TO KILL] CAVITY COLORS’ CHRISTMAS EVIL AND ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE COLLECTIONS

One of my favorite sub-genres of horror are Christmas-themed horror films. There is truly nothing more subversive than taking the happiest times of the year and dumping a big bucket of gore on them. The only problem is, for those of us that enjoy our horror-centric fashion, there isn’t much out there for options. Sure, once in a great while, you’ll come across a SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT shirt, or even a BLACK CHRISTMAS top, but there are so many more wonderful holiday horror films out there.

Thankfully, CAVITY COLORS came to the rescue. For those of us who like the deep cuts, they’ve rolled out a few CHRISTMAS EVIL shirts. I’ve been in love with the cult classic CHRISTMAS EVIL (1980) since high school. It is a holiday tradition around my house. I even put out a framed autograph of Harry Stadling (Brandon Maggart) and director Lewis Jackson as part of my holiday decorations.

There are two different CHRISTMAS EVIL designs. The first one has a definite retro feel to it. It features artwork by Hilary White, whose works are largely influenced by a mix of traditional art and ’80s pop culture, and by the head honcho at CAVITY COLORS, Mr. Aaron Crawford. This shirt is available in a unisex T-shirt and a baseball style shirt, and if you want to finish off that vintage look, you can even order it in a ringer style.

The second design has a much more modern vibe, and it’s by artist Devon Whitehead, most well known for his cover art on several SCREAM FACTORY releases. It’s extremely colorful and detailed — it’s gory and beautiful at the same time. This design is available in a unisex T-shirt, a baseball-jersey-style shirt, and a crewneck sweatshirt perfect for keeping you warm on those chilly winter nights.

If you are interested in a more modern holiday classic, CAVITY COLORS is also dropping an ANNA AND THE APOCALYPSE collection. I just saw this movie in the theater. and it’s magical! Imagine GLEE-meets-SHAUN OF THE DEAD at Christmas, and boom…you have the most fun horror-holiday-musical-comedy ever. This artwork is also by Devon Whitehead and features Anna fighting off zombies in some of the most gruesome scenes of the movie. It’s available in a unisex T-shirt, a girls-cut tee, and a red-sleeve baseball raglan. If that wasn’t enough, CAVITY COLORS is also offering an official ANNA lapel pin.

These shirts are officially licensed. Always the real deal with these guys. That, and they are unbelievably comfy, made from 100% ultra soft cotton. Another great feature is that the size tag is printed on the inside, so you don’t have it scratching the back of your neck.

If this doesn’t fill your horror-nerd hearts with holiday cheer, then nothing will. You know you want all this great gear from CAVITY COLORS, so slash your way over to cavitycolors.com and tell ‘em that DAILY GRINDHOUSE sent ya. Even though it’s Christmas time, make sure you always stay DRESSED TO KILL!
