UNBOXING EVIL ENTITIES’ 80S HORROR COLLECTION

Every horror fan has a certain time period of genre film that they enjoy the most.  Some fans like the gothic style of the classic Universal monsters of the 1930s. After all, DRACULA (1931) and FRANKENSTEIN (1931) are the touchstones of this genre. Others prefer the sociopolitical subtext that became prominent during the turbulent 1970s, with the extreme violence of THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE (1974) and THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT (1972).

Personally, I love 1980s horror like nobody’s business. Most likely it’s because that was the time period I was just getting into horror. There’s just something about the horror films that came out in the ’80s that set them apart from any other decade. Whether it was the practical effects, the campiness, or the humor interjected into them, the horror films of the 1980s just really did it for me.

When Evil Entities announced that the theme for their latest mystery box was “’80s horror,” I just had to pre-order it.  The items’ themes are announced before ordering. For the “’80s horror” collection, the themes were PROM NIGHT, THE THING, HOUSE (1986), TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE, NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, and ALLIGATOR. All are great films, and must-haves for any  horror fan’s collection.

What sets Evil Entities apart from other horror mystery boxes is that everything is hand-made, one-of-a-kind, and very collectible. These are works of art. The price tag maybe a little higher than other mystery boxes, but it’s well worth it. You get what you pay for.

Please enjoy my unboxing video of Evil Entities’ “’80s horror” mystery box. I had a lot of fun making it. Horror-themed mystery boxes are one of my favorite things. Be forewarned: I do use profanity, so my videos are of the not-safe-for-work nature. Make sure to visit Evil Entities at LB3Ddesign.com and support independent horror artists. Tell ‘em that Daily Grindhouse sent ya!
