The Academy Awards are not generally a major concern of ours here at Daily Grindhouse. We like to emphasize the movies we love, above all, without treating movies as competition. We’re really more of a petting zoo than a horse race. That said, this is all the film world is talking about today, so as a service to our readers, below are the winners from the 87th Academy Awards, announced on February 22nd, 2015.
(If you’d like to see a list of my own personal favorites, click here. Ain’t much overlap!)
Keep scrolling down past the awards for a humble tribute to all the wonderful talents we unfortunately lost during a noticeably unsparing year.

The picture for TOMMY RAMONE shows Marky Ramone not Tommy.
Marky is still alive a drumming.
Thank you! Fixed!
